Lincoln thinks it is so funny when he can hear me but not see me! Peek-A-Boo is a great game...and a super time killer!

It's Pumpkin Time!!

We carved pumpkins!! Logan was so funny because he couldn't wait to do it, but then didn't want to touch it at all!! He said that it felt gross. He did try to carve it but it was too tough for him to cut through. He drew the face that he wanted and that was cute to watch! Lincoln on the other hand wanted everything to do with the pumpkins!! He kept crawling in to the mix and chewing on whichever pumpkin was closest! He was very interested in what we were doing and super curious about what the heck was inside those big orange things!!

Daniel Bubba Logan

Matt here trying out the blogosphere. Figured I should take a moment to counter all the nice refined pictures and words that Corey has been posting and assure all of you that Logan remains "all boy" and hasn't entered the world of ballet and fine china. Accordingly, I hope you enjoyed the shots of him "whacking" the deer and know you will enjoy a view inside his un-brushed teeth!! Bubba-Logan and I hope all of you are well and will chat again soon (probably another month since I don't really like this electronic stuff). Oh yeah, Ipromise as soon as I get Lincoln alone I'll give him a mullet and take some shots of him chewing tobacco with his four new teeth!

Great Shot Logan!!

Logan did it!!! He shot the arrow all by himself and made "the kill shot!" I hate the sound of that, but Matt says that it is the proper term. Logan is really loving shooting and he gets better every day...as you can see! He made this shot from about 20 yards out! You can imagine how proud Matt is. Matt is all but running out and getting Logan all is hunting gear. I have to remind him that he is only 5 and way not ready to go out and do the real thing! I think that he would enjoy going out into the woods with Matt. Can't you just see it now...Matt trying to be as quiet and still as possible and Logan being Logan?!?!?!? 20 questions and using his quiet voice which is very similar to his yell! I am very happy for Logan though. He seems to have found something that he is a natural at and he really enjoys being out there with Matt practicing.

Brotherly Love

Logan is really starting to enjoy having a little brother....FINALLY!!! He was off of school the beginning of this week and I was dreading it....only because it is hard to juggle the time between the boys evenly. Clearly Lincoln needs more attention from me right now. But, Logan really surprised me!! He sang songs to Linc and played his toys with him and just entertained him a lot over the three days! and Of course Lincoln adores his big brother!! I think that once Lincoln starts to crawl, Logan will really get a kick out of playing with him!

Feeding is no fun!!

Don't let that face full ya!! This child is soooo stubborn when it comes to eating. His newest thing is grunting and yelling (I mean YELLING!!) when it is time to eat. He fights me and squirms and makes me sweat for every bite I get into his little mouth! I keep telling him that I am just going to let him starve...somehow I don't think I can stick to that one! Jeni says that God makes them cute for a reason. I'm pretty sure that he made this one so cute so that I wouldn't leave him on the street with a sign reading "Free to good home"!

Hooray For Vacation!!

(Logan) I liked the beach. My favorite part of the vacation was "boogie" surfing! Dad got really scared when I went under and disappeared for a minute...but I wasn't!!

(Corey) My favorite part of the beach vacation was watching the boys dig to china and just listening to the waves crash onto the shore

(Matt) I really liked body surfing with Logan and bobbing up and down on the waves with the boogie board. My favorite part was going for a walk on the beach every night with the whole family especially out to the pier.

Alabama National Fair

The Alabama National Fair!! It sounds like such a big deal...not so much!! We had fun, but it isn't the best fair around. I come from a super small town that puts on a HUGE fair. We got to see some animals and Logan and Matt rode the Farris wheel. We ate an elephant ear and had fresh squeezed lemonade. And with that we had done it all!! Plus, 83 degrees kind of takes something away from the fair atmosphere! Lincoln had had enough by about 20 minutes in! We did get to try on cowboy hats and Logan looks great in one! The fair also had a duckling exhibit. It was so cute. There were about 20 ducks in this glass building. Inside was a little pond with a waterfall. All the ducklings were all smashed together on a flat rock sleeping when we got there. Logan was so enthralled that we stayed long enough to watch them all flock together to the food bowl and eat like crazy little monsters. They were so yellow and fluffy. I can see why Logan liked them so much. It was a nice afternoon. And hey...I got a picture of Matt looking like a pig!! There are so many jokes to make and so little time!!!

Nap Time

It is soooo cute when Lincoln wakes up from his nap!! Cute because I have had a break from him for two hours and cute because he just is!!! He is sleeping well at his morning nap...from 10 till 12!! I get a chance to get chores done without the screaming and time to just veg!! Mindless TV, DVR'd shows...it's nice!

Ready, Aim, Fire!!

Well...Logan has been working on his archery again!! He really gets a kick out of hitting that target with the arrow!! He gets better every time we get that dang bow out! He can just about pull it back all the way. And yeasterday, the neighbor gilr came out and Logan offered her a try. Matt started to help her and Logan jumped in "I can show her dad!" It was so cute to see him be so proud that he was able to teach someone something!!

Oh Lincoln!!!

Well, Lincoln is at that age where he likes to play with things in the kitchen...like steak knives and the stove. You know, the regular kid stuff!! He is so cute about the plastic cups. When I give him one, he always takes it and the first thing he does is look inside and then he looks at me as if to say "Why on earth would you give me this without anything yummy in it?" Then he always tips it up to his mouth hoping that maybe I had mistakenly given him a full glass of that something yummy he was craving!!

Here Goes!!

Well...here goes!! I have decided to make it easier for our friends and family to keep up with the ever moving Kmon family!! We are enjoying our time in Alabama...sort of! Matt is able to be home quite a bit, so that is nice. He is doing very well in school. Speaking of school...Logan loves it and is great at it!! He is his fathers son for sure! Lincoln is growing very fast. Just the way Matt and I like it! He is so close to crawling now! He is loud as ever too!! He makes noise just to make noise! This morning in fact, I was in the bedroom changing and Logan and Lincoln were in the kitchen. Logan was eating breakfast and Lincoln had just finished. Lincoln was making some of the craziest noises...very LOUD noises. I came out and Logan was just staring at him. I asked what was up and Logan just pointed to Lincoln and said "I can't even eat he is so loud!" It was sooo cute!

Soccer...sort of!

So...Logs is back at it again! He is playing his second year of soccer. He likes it...I think! He tells us that he loves it and in the back yard is a total superstar! But on the field...a different kid. Logan is not aggressive by nature and I think that soccer is a bit too "I gotta touch the ball at all times" for him. He is perfectly happy just running around the field creating the illusion of chasing after the ball! He did play goalie the other day and was great at it! He watched the ball the whole time and even blocked 6 goal attempts!! So, for the time being we will support his interest and see where it leads...even if it leads him to being a soccer cheerleader!! (I'm kidding...I hope!)
